My husband and I had been married 15 years, when we received our first grandchild from CPS. We were a blended family, and had been empty nesters for 2 &1/2 years. And so our journey began. Three years later we received our second grandson. We quickly realized that our plans for our life, were not exactly what God had in store for us. We made a choice to embrace our season of life, and honor what God had blessed us with. My husband the President of a local Bank and myself an established Real Estate Agent, raising our grandchildren was not a financial struggle. However we quickly realized how many grandparents were doing what we do, on a fixed income. We were shocked, and trouble by their struggles. We met other Grand parents who were in our shoes, and felt very blessed that they did not have to struggle to raise their grand children. One in-particular lady, had a wonderful idea. She wanted to start a non-profit to help out Grandparents who were struggling, are hearts were aligned and together we founded Grand Love.
